Our artists are well versed in any style of tattoo you are looking for. Whether it is black and gray, realism, watercolor, illustrative, anime, American traditional, Japanese traditional, woodcut, or any other style of tattoo, our expert artists are here to make your design ideas a reality.
There are a few scenarios that can prevent you from receiving a tattoo. If you are pregnant, do not have proper identification, expired identification, have an active infection, and sunburn are some instances that can prevent you from receiving a tattoo. Certain types of medical conditions may need clearance from your doctor prior to receiving a tattoo.
There are several factors that affect the pricing of your tattoo. Size of the piece, location on your body, style of the tattoo, color, line work, shading, etc. and lastly each artist prices their own work. Having a free consultation with one of our artists is the best way to get an accurate pricing on the tattoo you want to receive.
Each artist is an independent contractor and therefore takes their own methods of payment. These can include cash, card, Cashapp, and Venmo. To verify what method of payment your artist uses it is best to ask them directly during your free consultation.

We follow all health department guidelines in order to provide you with a sterile environment for your tattoo. In the state of Kentucky the law requires that you must at minimum be 16 years of age to receive a tattoo. There are several documents that must be provided for a minor to receive a tattoo. We do have some additional seating in order for you to bring a few people with you to your appointment. Unfortunately small children are not allowed in the tattoo area due to safety and sanitary concerns, however we do have seating available outside of the tattoo area.
While food and drinks are not allowed in the tattoo areas, we do have space outside of the tattoo area for you to store these items while you are receiving your tattoo.
In most cases the level of pain you receive from a tattoo is minimal. There are some areas that on average are more uncomfortable than others, however each person experiences tattoos differently and some areas that are said to be more painful may not be the same experience for you as it is for others.
In most cases numbing cream is not necessary for your tattoo. Numbing cream’s effectiveness can vary for each person therefore it isn’t possible for us to let you know how long the numbing will last or how much it may reduce any pain. Some artists prefer that you not use numbing cream as it has a potential to negatively affect the process of tattooing. We suggest you speak to one of our artists about your wishes to use numbing cream prior to your appointment.
Scar tissue can pose some issues when being tattooed. Ink may not settle in the skin as well the first time and some color may fall out or fade more quickly. Touch ups may be necessary after the healing process is over.
There are several things you can do in order to help prepare yourself for the best possible experience while you receive your tattoo. Make sure to dress comfortably but also appropriately for the area that you are getting tattooed, whether wearing shorts, a sleeveless shirt or anything else that exposes the area without the artist needing to hold back the article of clothing should be worn. It is also important to ensure you have hydrated appropriately and eaten prior to your appointment.
Our shop follows all standards set forth by the Fayette County Health Department as required by Kentucky Law. We use single use, sterile, and individually packaged needles for tattooing and all reusable equipment such as the tattoo chairs are cleaned with approved Opticide after each client to ensure that we provide each client with a clean and sterile environment.
In some cases touchups are required. This is not due to the artist making any mistakes but rather as the tattoo ages some color may fade more than anticipate and may require some touchups in order to refresh the overall look of the tattoo and bring it back to its intended vibrancy.
Our shop offers two different ways to immediately take care of your tattoo following the completion of the tattoo. We can either wrap the tattoo and you will keep that wrap for up to 3 hours, however the wrap should be be kept for at least 45 minutes. When you take the wrap off you will wash with an unscented antibacterial soap and then begin using an unscented lotion to moisturize the tattoo. There are a handful of things you should avoid after receiving your tattoo. Direct sunlight or soaking the tattoo in water can affect the end result of the tattoo and the color. Regular showering and cleaning is still recommended however you should avoid swimming, hot tubs or soaking the tattoo in a bath. Lastly you need to make sure you never pick at any scabbing that forms on the tattoo.
Some fading may happen over the years as your tattoo ages, things like sunlight and other environmental factors may speed up the aging process or worsen it. With proper care your tattoo will maintain its vibrancy for years. Our artists execute your tattoo with the skill and technique that will help ensure that your tattoo looks just as good as the day you received it for years to come.
